Hundreds of young riders and ropers from Utah, Idaho and Wyoming gathered in Ogden for the first Utah Youth Rodeo of the new season on Tuesday evening.

Boys and girls as young as 3-years-old ran around barrels on stick horses while the oldest 13 and 14-year-olds rode steers and tied down calves. The Utah Youth Rodeo Association hosts the rodeos every month in the fall, spring and summer at the Golden Spike Event Center.
