OGDEN -— Thirty school administrators are moving into different positions within the Weber School District.

The announcement was made at a Wednesday, May 3, Board of Education meeting. Superintendent Jeff Stephens said the changes are happening because of five retirements within the district, which creates a domino effect as district employees move into those openings.

It has been common for people to change positions in recent years, with 19 administrative changes taking place in 2016, according to posts on the district’s Facebook page.

District spokesman Lane Findlay said in an email all new job titles take effect July 1.


Rod Belnap has been principal at Fremont High School for five years. He will become the district's human resource director.

Michele Parry, the principal of South Ogden Junior High School, will become principal at Fremont High. She has been at South Ogden Junior High for two years. “It’s very humbling to look around this room and think of all who have influenced me,” Parry said at the school board meeting.

Nicole Meibos, the principal of Rocky Mountain Junior High School for six years, will move into the position of principal at South Ogden Junior High.

Bret Craynor, a two-year assistant principal at Fremont High, is going to be the new principal of Rocky Mountain Junior High. “I look forward to going to Rocky Mountain and following in Nicole’s footsteps,” he said.

Quinn Talbot will become an assistant principal at South Ogden Junior High after holding the same job at Wahlquist Junior High School for two years.

Quincey Pearce has been the administrative intern at Weber High for one year and is going to become an assistant principal at Wahlquist Junior High.

Scott Elliott, the principal of Sand Ridge Junior High School for two years, will become principal at Wahlquist Junior High.

Clyde Moore, an assistant principal at Roy High School for three years, will become the principal of Sand Ridge Junior High. Moore has worked in George County Mississippi and for the Ogden School District. "I can tell you, by far this is the best district around, putting students first, employees, and with great support whenever you need it," he said.

Rob Lake, an assistant principal at Rocky Mountain Junior High for four years, will fill the assistant principal position at Roy High.

Darlene Sangiorgio, the one-year assistant principal at Roy High, will become an assistant principal at Weber High School.

Weber High Assistant Principal Teri Spiers has been at the school for five years. She will become an assistant principal at Bonneville High School.

Alicia Mitchell has been the assistant principal at T.H. Bell Junior High School for two years and is going to become an assistant principal at Roy High. "Words can’t express how excited I am to go back to Roy," she said. "They’ve always held a small chunk of my heart so I can’t wait to get there.”

Kristy Haws, an assistant principal at Orion Junior High School for five years, will become assistant principal at Roy Junior High.

Ben Prall, the administrative intern at Roy High, is going to be an assistant principal at Orion Junior High.

Heather Hardy, an assistant principal at Roy Junior High for three years will move into the position of principal at Snowcrest Junior High School.

Jamie Ellis, an administrative intern at Roy and Bonneville high schools, will be an assistant principal at Rocky Mountain Junior High School. "I came from Davis district and I’ve loved every second," she said. "Every day I’m the fortunate one to be here.”

Don Morse, an administrative intern at Fremont High for two years, will be an assistant principal at North Ogden Junior High School. "I can’t wait to get back to the junior high," he said. "There’s something about those kids that’s just quirky and fun.”

Rich Murray has been an assistant principal at South Ogden Junior High for four years and will become an assistant principal at Fremont High.

Nichole Warren-Doman is an administrative intern for both Two Rivers and Canyon View schools. She is going to become an assistant principal at T.H. Bell.

The dual internship opening at Canyon View and Two Rivers will be filled by Andrea Woodring, who was an administrative intern at Bonneville High for two years. "I’m honored and humbled like so many have said and I’ve been very blessed to work with wonderful administrators," Woodring said.

Tyler King, an administrative intern at Roy Junior High for one year, will become an administrative intern at Roy High.

Roy High administrative intern Jake Shulz will then move into the administrative internship position at Bonneville High.

Niels Hansen, band director at South Ogden Junior High for 12 years, is going to be an administrative intern at Fremont High. "It's hard to leave music, but I can’t think of a better way to go," he said.

Brent Hogan, who has been acting principal at Municipal Elementary School for a year because Joel Fredrickson has had medical problems, will be the new principal at Roy Elementary School

Kevin Chase, the principal of Lomond View Elementary School for seven years, will become principal of Municipal Elementary.

The Lomond View Elementary principal position will be filled by Justin Skeen, who has been principal of Roosevelt Elementary School for five years.

Kitty Barney, the principal of A Parley Bates Elementary School, will be the principal at Roosevelt Elementary. She has been with Bates Elementary for six years.

Laura Wright, the four-year principal of Farr West Elementary School, will become principal at Bates Elementary.

Dave Hales, the principal of Valley Elementary School for six years, will be the next principal of Farr West Elementary.

Jon England, an administrative intern at Uintah Elementary School, will move into the position of principal at Valley Elementary.
