OGDEN — If you are a federal worker, let the local sheriff's office treat you to a free meal this Saturday.

From 7 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, the Weber County Sheriff's Office will hold a federal employee appreciation breakfast. The event offers a free meal for all federal employees, according to a press release sent Thursday afternoon.

Lt. Matt Jensen, with the WCSO said the department, has not forgotten about the recently furloughed federal workers, and food is available to all federal employees.

Food for the event will be catered by Jessie Jean's on 25th, a local eatery that was hit hard by the recent federal government shutdown. No public funds are being used to pay for the event, the release says.

The event will take place at the sheriff's office, located at 721 W. 12th St. in Ogden.
