ROY — A motorcyclist was killed Monday morning in a crash at 1900 West and 4800 South, police said.

The motorcycle was southbound in the outside lane of 1900 West shortly after 7 a.m. when it collided with a northbound Subaru sedan turning left onto 4800 South, said Officer Stuart Hackworth of the Roy Police Department.

The motorcyclist, about 40 years old, was taken to an Ogden hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Hackworth said. The driver of the Subaru was treated for minor injuries.

The intersection was closed for about two hours as Roy officers and Utah Highway Patrol troopers reconstructed the crash. Hackworth said the crash remains under investigation.
