A woman was injured in a plane crash Tuesday night near the Weber and Rich county line and she was rescued by helicopter, according to authorities involved.

Weber County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue snowmobiles set out toward the remote crash site at about 7:45 p.m., but a Utah Department of Public Safety helicopter was able to reach the area and fly the 41-year-old woman to a hospital, a release by the search unit said.

The plane went down in the Monte Cristo area near state Route 39, the Weber County Sheriff’s Office said in a separate release.

The rescue was hampered by snowfall and low visibility, but the woman suffered only minor injuries in the crash. The Rich County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.
