OGDEN — An overnight shooting left one man dead Sunday in Ogden. 

Shortly after midnight on Sunday, Ogden Police received a report of a shooting on the 500 block of 31st Street. When police arrived, a man in his mid-20s was found unconscious on the sidewalk and bleeding from an apparent gunshot wound, according to a news release from police. 

The victim died on scene. His identity is not being released pending notification of the next of kin. 

Police identified and apprehended an adult male suspect a short time later, OPD said. 

The shooting is an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
