OGDEN — If you're planning to visit the downtown Ogden Department of Motor Vehicle office next week, don't come on Thursday and Friday.

Visitors to the DMV will only be able to park on the streets on May 9 and 10 due to the three-day Ogden Heritage Festival, which will close several streets in the downtown area.

The DMV is located near 25th Street and Wall Avenue, both of which will be closed from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. starting Thursday and ending Saturday.

Wall Avenue will be closed from 23rd Street to 28th Street during those times. Historic 25th Street will be closed from Wall Avenue to Grant Avenue, according to Ogden City.

“Since parking will be limited to neighborhood streets on those two days, we encourage our Weber County DMV customers to visit our office a different day or renew vehicles online at renewalexpress.utah.gov,” DMV spokesman Charlie Roberts said in a press release.

Utah DMV offices process vehicle registrations and issue license plates, but do not issue driver licenses.

The DMV's Driver License Division at 615 E. 5300 South in South Ogden will not be effected by the road closures.
