Ogden industrial fire Jan. 29, 2019

Fire crews were dispatched to a reported fire at an industrial building on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019 in Ogden. 

OGDEN — Fire crews were hard at work Tuesday morning to extinguish a fire at an industrial building in Ogden.

Crews were dispatched to a report of a fire at 2774 S. 1760 West in Ogden around 10:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to tweets from the Ogden Fire Department.

The fire was reported in a commercial building and was said to be contained to a “manufacturing hopper bin” in the building. As of Tuesday morning, the cause of the fire had yet to be determined. The fire is still under investigation.

No injuries were reported in relation to the fire, and all employees working in the building were able to safely exit prior to fire crews arriving on scene, according to an OFD tweet.

As of 11:30 a.m., crews were still at the building to monitor the scene and search for any hot spots.

A total of 32 firefighters were called to the scene. Units from the Ogden and Roy fire departments were dispatched to the scene, as well as crews from the Weber Fire District.
