If you normally use the interstate to get home before the weekend, you might want to reconsider. 

Southbound lanes of Interstate 15 were closed at mile marker 338 in Roy around 4:30 p.m. due to a multiple vehicle crash in Sunset, according to a tweet from UDOT. 

Around 6 p.m., UDOT announced southbound lanes were reopened. 

Northbound lanes of I-15 were also experiencing heavy delays as of Friday afternoon to to crashes. 

Estimated delays potentially added more than 15 minutes to commuters going south, according to UDOT. Delays for northbound lanes also ranged from 5 to 15 minutes.
