KAYSVILLE — A woman is dead and another is in the hospital after an auto-pedestrian crash occurred Thursday morning in Kaysville.

Police were dispatched to the scene of a crash at 7:16 a.m. Thursday near the intersection of Nicholls Road and Main Street, according to a press release from the Kaysville Police Department. Officers found that two women were hit while attempting to cross Main Street.

One woman, identified as Kaysville resident Lori Morgan, died at the scene, police say.

The other woman was taken via helicopter to a local hospital, the release says. She was last known to be in stable condition.

The two were trying to cross Main Street when they were hit by two vehicles driving on the same road, police say. The drivers of both vehicles are said to be cooperating with police during their investigation.

The crash is still under investigation as of Thursday afternoon, according to the release.
