LAYTON — Police are searching for a robbery suspect after a man with a gun walked into a Layton gas station Tuesday morning.

Around 6:50 a.m., a masked man walked into a Chevron gas station located at 1508 N. Highway 89 in Layton and pointed a gun at the clerk, according to a news release from the Layton Police Department.

The man pointed the gun at the clerk demanded money. The release did not say if the clerk gave the robber money. No injuries were reported and one else was in the store, according to the release.

As of Tuesday morning, police have yet to identify the man.

Police say the robber is a white man who is 20-25 years old and roughly 6 feet tall. He was wearing a light-colored hoodie and a black and orange face mask at the time of the robbery. He brandished a black and silver semi-automatic pistol during the robbery and may have left the scene in a white SUV.
