Police lights breaking news

LOGAN — Police in Logan are investigating a possible homicide after a man was found dead following a shooting Friday morning.

Police were dispatched to an apartment on Riverbend Road in Logan around 6:30 a.m. after receiving reports of a gunshot, according to press releases on the Logan Police Department’s Facebook page.

When first responders arrived, they found two women performing CPR on a 23-year-old man. Officers and medics attempted to resuscitate the man, but he was pronounced dead.

It was not immediately clear how many shots were fired or how many shots hit the now-deceased man.

KUTV and KSL have reported that the man shot and killed was 23-year-old Dylan Milian.

Police say a 26-year-old man is cooperating with police as the investigation continues.

In a Facebook post, Logan Police said there are “many aspects” of the investigation that will take time, including an investigation by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.

It has yet to be determined by investigators or the Cache County Attorney’s Office if the man’s death will result in criminal charges being filed or will be ruled as a justifiable homicide.

Police say there were four children under the age of seven staying at the apartment, along with a 28-year-old woman and the apartment’s owner, a 53-year-old woman, according to a Facebook post from the LPD.

As of Friday evening, no arrests have been made in connection to the man’s death.
