Nordic Valley Ski Resort opening

Nordic Valley Ski Resort will be opening for the 2018-19 ski season on Wednesday.

EDEN — The last of Weber County's ski resorts will be opening mid-week.

Nordic Valley Ski Resort will open for the winter season on Wednesday — two days earlier than previously announced. The early opening is thanks to "more than two feet of snowfall and cold temperatures that allowed mountain crews to make snow," a press release from the resort said.

The first chair run begins 10 a.m. Wednesday on the Apollo lift. All levels of trails will be open, including expert trails like Upper Falling Star, Whiskey, Raven and Chainsaw.

“Thanks to the hard work of all Nordic Valley staff, we’re excited and ready to welcome our guests back and kick off ski season earlier than originally planned this year," Nordic Valley general manager Denzel Rowland said in the press release.

Full day lift tickets are $45 at Nordic Valley, while night skiing tickets are $30.

All three Weber County ski resorts opened earlier than planned for the 2018-19, with Snowbasin and Powder Mountain resorts opening in November.
