OGDEN — A fire Monday morning at an Ogden home caused an estimated $60,000 in damage and displaced the four people living there, the Ogden Fire Department said in a press release.
The blaze, which caused no injuries, was called in around 11 a.m., and when firefighters arrived, they found a parked car in a carport at 636 Chester St. on fire.
"The fire had progressed from the vehicle to the carport, and subsequently to the home," said the press release. The occupants of the home safely exited the structure.
Eighteen firefighters from the Ogden Fire Department and North View Fire District quickly extinguished the fire. The cause has not yet been determined and officials continued to investigate, according to the press release.
