OGDEN — The YCC Family Crisis Center will be holding a fundraising event featuring a domestic violence survivor and a Broadway actor.

The group’s Spring Gala, the first installment in what’s to become a yearly event, is set for March 23 from 6-9 p.m. and will be held at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center. Tickets are available at the group’s website, YCCHope.org, or by calling 801-726-0736.

The keynote speaker will be Bridget Cook-Burch of Sandy, an author and “transformational speaker” who will discuss her experiences as a domestic violence survivor. Thayne Jasperson, who grew up in Utah and is currently performing in the Broadway musical Hamilton!, will perform and serve with KSL-TV weekend anchor Ashley Kewish as co-emcee. The theme is “A Night to Remember.”

Kathie Darby, who’s helping promote the event, said YCC members envision the Spring Gala as becoming one of two main fundraisers for the group, along with a golf tournament the group holds each September.

The YCC Family Crisis Center, headquartered in Ogden, operates a domestic violence shelter and rape crisis center.
