Utah Transit Authority riders can get a $5 pass this week as part of the Spike 150 anniversary celebration.

UTA is offering a $5-per-day ticket promotion Thursday through Saturday, May 9-11, on all services except the Salt Lake–Park City Connect and Paratransit, according to a press release. The promotion is only available via UTA’s GoRide app, which can be downloaded for both Apple and Android devices.

The pass can be purchased now, but can’t be activated until Thursday.

Multiple riders can also get a $15 group pass for up to four people.

Schedule changes, shuttles

FrontRunner will run an extra trip on Thursday morning to maintain a 30-minute service frequency until 10:30 a.m., UTA said. The train’s normal schedule will resume on Friday and Saturday.

UTA will also run free shuttle buses every 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. between five designated parking lots and Ogden’s Union Station. This service is free.

If you’re hoping to use public transit to get to Promontory Point Friday, you’re out of luck. UTA will not be providing service from Ogden to Promontory Point during any of the Spike 150 celebration activities this week.

Visitors should make their own travel arrangements from Ogden, UTA advised.
