UINTAH — A 19-year-old man suffered critical injuries Thursday evening in a three-car crash on U.S. 89 at Combe Road, the Weber County Sheriff's Office said.

Traffic was blocked for more than two hours as crews investigated and treated the drivers.

Northbound traffic resumed shortly before 8 p.m.

Weber Fire District Capt. Rock Toone said the 19-year-old's southbound car crossed into the northbound lanes, sideswiping one vehicle and colliding with a third.

Sheriff's Lt. Matt Jensen said the 19-year-old's car rolled, throwing him onto the road.

Jensen said a sheriff's deputy was nearby and found the man unconscious. The man came to, but had head injuries.

Authorities were still investigating the crash, Jensen said.

He said the first driver was taken to McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden with critical injuries. The other two drivers were not seriously injured.
