SALT LAKE CITY — You might see a bit of snow after your Valentine’s Day date this year.

A round of snow is expected to hit most of Utah starting Wednesday evening and going into Thursday, according to the National Weather Service of Salt Lake City

While the valleys won’t see much snow — anywhere from a trace to 2 inches — the northern mountains are expected to see anywhere from 6-10 inches of snow accumulate.

“Accumulating snow on roadways could impact travel in the higher terrain, including mountain passes, Wednesday night through Thursday morning,” the NWS said

Temperatures will drop to seasonal normals later in the week, with the low temperature falling to 31 on Wednesday night and 24 on Thursday.

Sunshine will return on Friday with an expected high of 40 degrees.
