Expect to see another few inches of snow on Wednesday.
Between 2-6 inches of snow is expected to accumulate between 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Weber, Davis and Box Elder counties, according to a winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service.
Winter driving conditions can be expected on routes near the Utah/Idaho border along Interstate 84, the advisory said. Sections of Interstate 15 will experience road slush and snow Wednesday afternoon to Thursday morning, the Utah Department of Transportation said.
Meanwhile, heavy snow is expected in the Wasatch Mountains, where a winter weather warning has been issued from 3 a.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday.
Total snow accumulations will range from 1-2 feet, with locally higher amounts possible.
An avalanche watch is in effect for the backcountry areas of the mountains until Thursday, when the weather service expects it will turn into a warning.
"Expected strong winds along with heavy dense snow and rain-on-snow at the lower elevations will create dangerous avalanche conditions," the NWS said.
