SALT LAKE CITY — Northern Utah might have a white Christmas after all.

Weber, Davis and Box Elder counties, as well as much of the Wasatch mountain range, will be under a Winter Weather Advisory from noon to 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service of Salt Lake City

Snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is expected in the valleys, beginning in the mid- to late-afternoon. At least 5 to 10 inches could fall in the mountains.

“Be prepared for accumulating road snow and reduced visibilities at times, especially leading up to and during the evening commute,” the weather service said.

In addition to snow, the cold front will bring much colder temperatures for the rest of the week.

The highs in Ogden on Thursday and Friday will reach 30 degrees, while the lows will remain in the teens, according to the forecast. Saturday night’s low is expected to reach 4 degrees.

A slight chance of snow also is expected on Friday and Saturday as a second storm system from Canada rolls through the area.
