24th Street snow 2016

Snow falls on 24th Street in Central Ogden on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2016. Multiple winter storms hit the Northern Wasatch region that January.

SALT LAKE CITY — A snowstorm is expected to dump a few inches of snow during the morning commute Wednesday.

A winter weather advisory has been issued for Weber, Davis and Box Elder counties from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service of Salt Lake City.

A total of 1-3 inches of snow accumulation is possible, with up to six inches possible south of Ogden, the advisory said.

"Plan on snow packed and slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning commute," the NWS said.

In the Wasatch Mountains, the advisory starts at 5 a.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. Total snow accumulation is expected to be between 4-9 inches.

The storm is also expected to clear out the inversion conditions that have settled on Northern Utah's valleys over the last few days.
