Other Utah news outlets spend the majority of their time on Salt Lake City and elsewhere in the state, but no entity covers Weber & Davis counties like we do. From in-depth coverage to unique local stories we continue to be here for you.
But we can’t continue to provide ongoing quality, local journalism without your support.

Standard-Examiner Online Membership FAQ
1. What is an SE Online Membership? How much does it cost?
An SE Online Membership provides unlimited access to Standard-Examiner content. We have various levels of membership depending on if you want print and digital access, or just digital access only.

2. Does this mean that you will stop making a print edition?
No! Unlike some other regional newspapers, we are not abandoning our print roots. We are still committed to giving you the same print newspaper you've come to depend on, and up to the minute digital content as well.
3. I already get home delivery of the newspaper. Do I get free digital access?
Yes! 6 day print only subscribers, Enhanced, and Premium membership choices will have full access to standard.net and the Digital Edition.
Weekend Edition only print subscribers in Weber County will also have full access including the Digital Edition included with your subscription.

If we don't already have your email address in your account, you will need to contact our Member Services department at (801) 625-4400 before you will be able to log in.
4. What if I don't want to subscribe — can I still read Standard.net for free?
Visitors will be allowed three articles to enjoy per month.
Once you reach your limit of three articles, unfortunately you will not be able to continue to read the in-depth content that you enjoy. Your free, limited access will reset at the beginning of each calendar month.
That is, until you subscribe.
5. Can I get a digital subscription to the Standard.net website only?
Yes, with our Basic membership choice, you will receive access to all Standard.net content on all devices, including our exclusive Digital Edition Newspaper Online.
6. How are digital subscriptions billed?
We have several options for billing from EZ pay automatic withdrawal to receiving an invoice via post or even paying in person at our offices. As a SE Online Member, you can pay via debit or credit card. With EZ Pay, your subscription will be renewed automatically.
We make it seamless and easy for you to keep up to date with what's going on in your community.
7. Can I share my digital subscription?
Each subscription is connected uniquely to an email address and password, so family sharing is not a plan we currently have.
8. Do I have to give you my email address to have an Online Membership? Will you sell my email address to anyone?
Yes, you have to have a valid email address attached to your account to be able to log in and access our amazing content.
If we don't already have your email address in our system, you will have to call in and have one of our Member Services Represenatives add it to your account in order to log in.
We will never sell or share your email address with anyone.
9. Can I access Standard.net articles through search engines and social media?
Yes! Go to your browser of choice on your computer, phone, or tablet and find us at https://www.standard.net/
We are also on Facebook and Twitter
Remember though, when you visit us from one of those social media channels, that article (or video, photo gallery, etc.) will count toward your monthly limit of free articles.
10. How do I change the email address that's associated with my digital subscription?
By logging on to your account with your username and password via https://www.standard.net/users/login you can make any changes.
(In the Profile section, select Change Email. Enter a new address, and then select Save).
Or you can call our customer service department for assistance.
11. How do I make changes to my digital subscription?
By calling our customer service department at (801) 625-4400, you can make changes, pay a bill, or have your questions answered, or you can click on the Dashboard button on the top of the screen whlie logged into standard.net and selecting the Subscriptions button.
