We all must, ultimately, accept some really difficult things. I have accepted the loss of a million people due to misguided marketing the subsequent erosion of trust in science. I have accepted my own death due to a blood cancer. Or maybe getting run over while riding my bicycle. What I cannot accept is people’s belief that they have a fundamental right to a killing tool based on a vaguely-worded sentence written by men who couldn’t envision a flush toilet let alone a gun that could shoot more than two bullets per minute.
