I have followed Kerry Gibson's follies thru the reports that are posted in the standard examiner. This morning's paper portrays Gibson's lawyers opinion that he has a right to privacy which to a certain extent I agree with. The klinker in the mix is he was and is a public figure elected by the residents of Weber county and any action that utilizes our tax dollars is subject to public scrutiny...also as in any law breaker or criminal case the right to privacy is dismissed when illegal gains are detected. I would suggest a review of the findings that pertain to this latest issue be reviewed formally by the police which is the case in any investigation and if any illegal activities are determined or detected then the report needs to be opened to the public.
