In response to ‘Title IX’ letter published in the Standard-Examiner, I appreciate your letter, but I didn’t find going to school in the ‘60s as repressive as your representation. I was in college prep in high school, fully intended and was encouraged to have a career in science, went to a four-year state university (and then grad school), and had a long career as a biologist with a federal agency. I DID take typing, and that helped enormously with keyboarding computers.
