SUNSET — Prosecutors on Tuesday filed eight child pornography charges against a Sunset man accused of uploading about 800 explicit photos, including images of toddler rape, to the internet.
The Davis County Attorney’s Bureau of Investigations found that Clinton Chipp, 45, allegedly uploaded the images to his Google account from May 25 to June 3, according to a probable cause statement.
Agents of the Utah Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a search warrant at Chipp’s home on Oct. 5. The arrest affidavit said agents found notes listing Chipp’s Google user name and password; many articles of children’s clothing; and handwritten notes in which Chipp allegedly fantasized about violently raping children in the neighborhood.
Chipp was ordered held without bail in the Davis County Jail in Farmington. He is charged with eights counts of second-degree felony sexual exploitation of a minor.
