CORINNE — Police have released the names of the two teenage boys who were killed in a Sunday motorcycle crash in Box Elder County.

The two boys killed in the crash were 15-year-old Wyatt Ellertson and 14-year-old Caden Ellertson, according to a press release from the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Department

Wyatt was pronounced dead at the scene, and Caden died shortly after arriving at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City by helicopter, the release says.

The two boys are cousins and were the two drivers of the motorcycles, according to the release.

A third teen involved in the crash was last known to be in stable condition when he was admitted into University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City after the crash, the release says. It was not immediately clear when the 16-year-old was admitted to the hospital.

Dispatchers received a call of a vehicle crash about 8:55 p.m. Sunday, according to a press release from the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office.

Police were sent to a road between two cornfields near 1400 N. 6000 West in Corinne, the release says.

Police said in the release that the two motorcycles did not hit head-on as previously reported. Instead, the two motorcycles “glanced off of each other” in the crash, the release said.

Police found that both drivers were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, according to the release.

Parents and grandparents of the victims were at the scene of the crash, the release says.

My heart breaks for this family. May they find peace in knowing that the two cousins are in Heaven together and were having fun together when the accident occurred.
