SOUTH OGDEN — A cement truck tipped over Tuesday along Washington Boulevard, creating a mess and leaving its driver in fair condition.
The crash happened just before 12:52 p.m.Tuesday, Aug. 22, on northbound Washington Boulevard near 4400 South in South Ogden. The driver went in and out of a drainage ditch twice before tipping over, but South Ogden Police Department Sgt. Dan Buttars said police are unsure what caused him or her to lose control of the vehicle.

The driver has been transported to a local hospital, Buttars said.
Cement from the truck spilled out into the ditch and onto the road, but it was quickly cleaned up by Lincoln Environmental Services, according to South Ogden Police Officer Randy Thomason.
Though some northbound lanes were closed along Washington Boulevard as of Tuesday afternoon, traffic was still flowing along the road.
Thomason said he hopes to have the scene of the accident cleared by later this afternoon.
This is a developing story that will be updated as we learn more.
