OGDEN — A Harrisville woman was indicted Tuesday after she allegedly gave lap dances to minors at a birthday party while minors drank alcohol and smoked marijuana.

Rhianna Renae Nivens, 40, was charged with a total of 12 counts: four counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor by an adult, a third-degree felony; four counts of lewdness — first or second offense, a class B misdemeanor; and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a class B misdemeanor.

Around Feb. 10, police received a report of a “lewdness incident” at a home in Harrisville. Police investigated the complaint and interviewed multiple children who were at the home during the alleged incident.

Police found that the complaint came from a birthday party that took place on Feb. 9, where Nivens lives in Harrisville. Around 12 minors were at the party that night, ranging in ages of 14 to 17, charging documents say.

Police allege that Nivens was aware that the minors were drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana, and that Nivens was allegedly drinking with the minors.

Later in the party, police say Nivens allegedly put on “a risque outfit” which the minors described as “red and black lingerie” and gave lap dances to several minors at the party. She also allegedly “danced sexually” for roughly 10 minutes.

Charging documents say that Nivens’ alleged actions were recorded on video by at least one minor at the party.

As of Tuesday afternoon, a summons for Nivens to appear in Ogden’s 2nd District Court has been filed, but has yet to be approved by a judge or served. Nivens has a district court judge assigned to her case, but has yet to be given an initial appearance date.
