OGDEN -- A man was arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly firing a gun in downtown Ogden. 

At 1:50 a.m. Sunday, Ogden Police officers on foot patrol on Historic 25th Street heard "what sounded like a firearm being discharged," according to a news release from OPD

The officers responded to the 100 block of 25th Street where they learned that there had been an argument between two men and that during the argument, one of the men drew a firearm and fired rounds.

No one was injured, police said. 

Devante Mack, 23, was taken into custody and interviewed about the incident. He was later booked in the Weber County Jail on charges of aggravated assault, discharge of a firearm, obstruction of justice, failure to stop a the command of a police officer, possession of a firearm by a restricted person, and criminal mischief. 

He is being held on a $8,900 bond, according to jail records. 

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
