FRUIT HEIGHTS — Police are investigating a body that was found in Fruit Heights Tuesday evening.

At 5:35 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, a body was discovered in a residential area in Fruit Heights, according to Davis County Sheriff’s Deputy David Passmore.

Sheriff’s Sgt. DeeAnn Servey said the circumstances surrounding the death are being investigated and that investigators “have not ruled out any manner of death.”

“It is suspicious due to the fact that dead bodies shouldn't be found unattended in neighborhoods,” Servey said via email.

The sheriff’s office is not releasing any more information at this time. Investigators were still on scene as of 9 p.m.
