OGDEN — Police say a man in his mid-20s that was shot “multiple times” Wednesday afternoon in Ogden has died from his injuries.
Police and paramedics were sent to the 800 block of 23rd Street in Ogden about 4:30 p.m., according to online dispatch records.
Just before 6:30 p.m., Ogden Police Lt. Mike Boone confirmed to the Standard-Examiner that the man died from his injuries after being taken to a local hospital.

A tweet from the Ogden Police Department said the suspect or suspects in the shooting have not been arrested. The area of the shooting is an active crime scene and people should avoid the intersection of 23rd Street and Monroe Boulevard.
Police believe the shooter or shooters and victim knew each other, and they do not believe there is an immediate threat to the public, according to a press release from the Ogden Police.
