On the northern edge of Utah, not far from the Idaho border, sits the small town of Garland. For decades, the city grew around the U and I Sugar factory. When the plant closed in the 1970s, businesses fled the historic downtown.

Today the city is quickly growing as former farms are converted into new subdivisions.
