Including Weber State’s (2-1 Big Sky) 14-6 win over No. 4 Eastern Washington (3-1), it was another wild Saturday in the Big Sky Conference. Here’s a rundown of the action.

NO. 14 UC DAVIS 44, IDAHO ST. 37 (OT)

Idaho State (3-1) missed a 27-yard field goal as time expired in regulation and UC Davis (3-0) grabbed a home win to become the only undefeated team in conference play.

Jake Maier threw for 382 yards and five touchdowns in the win. Tanner Gueller threw for 319 yards and two scores for the Bengals.

MONTANA ST. 24,

IDAHO 23

Idaho (1-3) scored with three minutes left but missed the extra point and Montana State (2-1) escaped with a home win over the Vandals.

The Bobcats passed for 93 yards, though quarterback Troy Anderson ran for 159 yards.

Weber State hosts Montana State next week.

N. DAKOTA 41,

NO. 22 MONTANA 14

North Dakota isn’t officially in the Big Sky but the Fighting Hawks are factoring heavily into other teams’ playoff hopes, especially after previously beating No. 5 Sam Houston State. UND used a 34-0 halftime lead to shellack Montana (2-2).

The Hawks forced four turnovers and held Montana to 70 rushing yards. Weber State travels to the same dome in two weeks.

S. UTAH 48,

SACramento ST. 27

Southern Utah (1-2) got its first win of the season with a convincing win over Sacramento State (0-3).

The Thunderbirds rushed for 259 yards, including 107 from Jay Green Jr. and 84 from Karris Davis.

Wyatt Clapper threw for 246 yards and Elijah Dotson rushed for 149 in the loss for the Hornets.

PORTLAND ST. 35,

N. COLORADO 14

Northern Colorado (0-4) turned it over three times, helping Portland State (2-2), a team it outgained 367-282, to an easy win.

Conor Regan threw for 351 yards but also threw three picks for UNCo.
