Prep basketball roundup: Ben Lomond, Fremont girls claim wins
OGDEN — Ben Lomond High girls basketball outscored Logan 32-12 over the second and third quarters for a home win, defeating the Grizzlies 45-29 on Thursday night.
Avery Beadles scored a game-high 20 points with two 3-pointers for Ben Lomond (2-4).
Leticia Gallegos added six points.

PLAIN CITY — Fremont outscored East 26-5 in the second quarter in a big home win.
Mia Austin led all scorers with 20 points and four 3-pointers for Fremont (4-0). Timea Gardiner and Maggie Mendleson each scored 17 points.

PRESTON, Idaho — Roy trailed 21-5 at the half in a loss to Middleton (Idaho) at the Preston Indian Tournament.
Sha’Kyra Joiner led Roy (2-2) with seven points and Masie Scholer scored six.

LEHI — Layton jumped out to a 25-15 lead after one quarter in a win over Alta (2-1) at the Skyridge Tournament.
Connor Wilson led all scorers with 22 points on four 3-pointers for Layton (1-4). Brighton Palmer and Brock Mendoza each added 12 points while KJ Miller scored 10.
WEST JORDAN 52, BOX ELDER 51
KAYSVILLE — Elijah Kersey hit a 3-pointer to give Box Elder a 51-50 lead, but West Jordan (3-0) converted two free throws with two seconds left for the win at Davis High’s Northern Utah Shootout.
Jackson McKee tallied a double-double for Box Elder (2-2) with 12 points and 14 rebounds. Kersey and Cole Mortenson each scored 11 points while Ethan O’Riordan added 10.
OLYMPUS 95, WEBER 44
KAYSVILLE — Weber was outscored 52-16 across the second and third quarters in a blowout loss to Olympus (3-0) at the Northern Utah Shootout.
Hunter Schenck and Griffyn Doughty each scored nine points for Weber (1-3). The Warriors shot 30% from the floor in the second half while Olympus shot 69%.
