SYRACUSE — Davis High girls basketball ran out to a 22-6 lead after the first quarter to beat Syracuse 54-44 on Tuesday and remain unbeaten in region play.

Aryanna Bull led Davis (17-1, 10-0 Region 1) with 16 points. Kendra Kitchen added 15 points and Kate Richards scored 12 points with three 3-pointers. The Darts are now one win away from clinching a share of the region title.

Avery Sanders led Syracuse (11-10, 6-4) with 14 points. Cortnie Barker scored 11 points.

BOUNTIFUL 62, BONNEVILLE 28

BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful ran out to a 20-3 lead after one quarter and never looked back in a region win over Bonneville, clinching at least a share of the Region 5 title in the process.

Taylor Harvey scored a game-high 19 points for Bountiful (16-1, 7-0 Region 5). Jordyn Harvey and Hayley Smith each tallied 11 points.

Libby Jensen led Bonneville (4-13, 0-7) with nine points. Zia Norton, Tyler Moss, Hailee Cherry and Whitni Johnson each added three points.

FREMONT 59, WEBER 35

PLEASANT VIEW — Sierra Eddie scored 17 points with four 3-pointers to lead Fremont to a region win at Weber.

Charly Hunt added 13 points for Fremont (14-6, 8-1 Region 1) and Syncere Langston tallied eight.

Katelynn Butler led Weber (5-14, 2-8) with nine points and Allie Clark scored seven.

LAYTON 49, FARMINGTON 38

LAYTON — Layton outscored Farmington 30-14 in the second half to turn a 24-19 halftime deficit into a region win.

Quincie Knudson scored a game-high 16 points to pace Layton (3-15, 2-8 Region 1). Charly Stevens tallied 11 points and Olivia Hodapp added nine points on three 3-pointers.

Marissa Marchant led Farmington (9-9, 3-6) with nine points. Whitney Avei scored seven.

VIEWMONT 56, NORTHRIDGE 55 (OT)

LAYTON — Viewmont outscored Northridge 37-27 after halftime, including 7-6 in overtime, to upset the Knights in region play.

Emma Mulitalo led Viewmont (10-10, 4-3 Region 5) with 15 points. Lissia da Silva and Kristina Gunnell scored 11.

Kaylee Hess led Northridge (11-7, 5-2) with 19 points and four 3-pointers. Shanda Sternberg scored 14 points with four 3s.

WOODS CROSS 40, BOX ELDER 38

BRIGHAM CITY — Woods Cross outscored Box Elder 22-16 in the second half to grab a road win.

Georgia Hatton led Woods Cross (13-5, 4-3 Region 5) with nine points. Kenna Cowley and Calliahny Nelson each scored eight points while Katie King tallied seven.

Kaydence Barber led all scorers with 12 points for Box Elder (7-12, 1-6). Madison Thurgood and Ashlyn Wight each scored six points.

WEST 58, ROY 32

ROY — West held Roy to 12 points in the second half to top the Royals.

Lylian Rosenberg led Roy (5-14, 5-5 Region 2) with eight points and two 3-pointers. Nicole Williams scored seven points on 7 of 9 from the free throw line and Sienna Bodily added six points.

MORGAN 65, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 43

LAYTON — Morgan built a 31-18 halftime lead on the way to victory in a Region 13 separator.

Elena Birkeland totaled 24 points and four steals for Morgan (16-6, 7-2 Region 13). Alyvia Jaffa added 14 points and 11 rebounds on 7-of-12 shooting.

Layton Christian (12-8, 5-4) got 22 points, six rebounds and four steals from Bianca Silva. Marcella Leite added six points and 11 rebounds.

RIDGELINE 74, BEAR RIVER 38

MILLVILLE — Gracie Riley scored 16 points and Jenna LaCroix added seven as Bear River (8-9, 1-6 Region 11) fell in region play at Ridgeline.

LAYTON — Mekhi Martin scored 35 points to lead Layton to a region win over Farmington.

KJ Miller added 20 points for Layton (14-7, 7-3 Region 1). Both Miller and Martin each made six 3-pointers. Brock Mendoza tallied 12 points and Crew Harrop scored 11.

Cole Johnson led Farmington (12-7, 4-5) with 23 points and two treys. Paul Beattie tallied 19 points and Braden Larsen added 12 points and two 3-pointers.

ROY 70, WEST 49

ROY — Roy had four double-digit scorers and hammered West 27-12 in the second quarter on the way to its sixth win in the last seven games.

Isaac Burnett led all scorers with 17 points and shot 5 of 8 from downtown for Roy (12-9, 7-3 Region 2).

Elijah Sowards totaled 15 points and 11 rebounds. Jayden Spencer had 13 points and six boards, and Beau Belnap added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists.

DAVIS 54, SYRACUSE 47

SYRACUSE — Coleman Atwater tallied a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Davis to a region win at Syracuse.

Atwater went 4 for 4 from behind the 3-point arc. Colby Whicker added 14 points for Davis (12-9, 6-4 Region 1) and Zach Fisher scored 13. Bennett Wright dished out four assists.

Brevin Hamblin led Syracuse (12-6, 5-4) with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Kaden Ericksen scored 11 points. Kane King added eight points and seven assists.

MORGAN 67, BEN LOMOND 37

MORGAN — Morgan took a 41-15 lead into the break in a region win over Ben Lomond on Monday.

Joe Weight and Cade Johnson each scored 10 points with two 3-pointers for Morgan (14-6, 5-2 Region 13).

Jake East led all scorers with 11 points for Ben Lomond (2-17, 1-5 Region 13). Davian Muñoz added 10 points.
