OGDEN — Ben Lomond (6-5, 1-1 Region 11) boys basketball expanded its five-point lead by outscoring Ogden 20-14 in the fourth quarter to win a vital Region 11 game 51-40 on Tuesday night.

The game picked up in the second half after a sleepy first two quarters in which the teams combined for 29 points. Titus Hughes and Stephon Watson co-led the Scots with 13 points.

Garet Rentmeister scored eight points and went 6 of 6 from the foul line in the fourth quarter. Carlos Aguirre had nine points.

Isaiah Coria led Ogden (3-8, 0-2) in scoring with 18 points and Austin Richards had 12. Ogden hosts Park City on Friday while Ben Lomond visits Bonneville.

The win means Tuesday was the first time since 2009-10 that both the Ben Lomond boys and girls basketball teams beat Ogden in the same season.

FREMONT 78, NORTHRIDGE 51

PLAIN CITY — Baylor Harrop poured in 34 points on seven 3-pointers and Fremont blasted Northridge.

Harrop scored 19 points in the first half for Fremont (8-4, 2-0 Region 1). Dallin Hall scored 15 of his 23 in the first half as the Silver Wolves led 42-29 at the half.

Northridge (6-7, 1-1) lost touch after scoring four points in the third quarter. Mason Macrum led the Knights with 15 points, all on 3-pointers. Collin Barrett scored 10 points and Alec Duffin added nine.

DAVIS 68, WEBER 46

PLEASANT VIEW — Davis had four players in double figures and cruised past Weber to pick up a region road win.

Sam Arrington and Brendon Redford totaled 13 points for Davis (7-6, 1-1 Region 1), and Trevan Leonhardt and K.O. Fisher each scored 10. Tyson Garff totaled nine points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals.

Hudson Schenck led Weber (6-4, 0-1) with 11 points. Cannon Devries, Alec Nelsen and Max Triplett each scored eight.

SYRACUSE 46, CLEARFIELD 41

SYRACUSE — Syracuse took a 27-21 lead at the break on the way to a region win over Clearfield.

Keaton Seaich led all scorers with 17 for the Titans (5-8, 1-1 Region 1). Dylan Hawkes, Kobe Rusch and Tanner Judd each scored seven points while Blake Soifua pulled down nine rebounds.

Connor Izatt led Clearfield (4-7, 0-2) with 10 points while Kaden Swanson added nine points. Swanson and Junior Lealao each had five rebounds.

BONNEVILLE 57, STANSBURY 50

STANSBURY PARK — Bonneville led 25-20 at the half in a Region 11 win at Stansbury.

Tyler Hancock led the Lakers with 15 points. Hank Bushell scored 14, Kinnon Finder netted 13 and Zack Alspaugh added 11 points for Bonneville.

WOODS CROSS 54, WEST JORDAN 44

WOODS CROSS — Jake Howe scored 13 points, Tyler Roberts 12 and Josh Larsen 11 as Woods Cross (9-2) won its final non-region game.

Woods Cross outscored West Jordan 30-20 in the second half.

FARMINGTON 51, EAST 49

FARMINGTON — McKay Thomsen hit a 3-pointer with 1.8 seconds left to lift Farmington to a win over East.

Thomsen led the Phoenix (7-6) with 13 points and Kendall Draxler scored 12.

TAYLORSVILLE 57, ROY 43

TAYLORSVILLE — Roy led 34-33 after three quarters but was outscored 24-9 in the decisive final frame in a loss at Taylorsville.

Jacob Parkin scored 18 to lead the Royals (4-8). Easton Bitton added 10 points.

MOUNTAIN CREST 57, BOX ELDER 55 (OT)

HYRUM — Box Elder (2-8) forced overtime after trailing 34-26 at Mountain Crest going into the fourth quarter, but couldn’t complete the comeback in a road loss. No stats were provided.

ALTAMONT 55, ST. JOSEPH 47

ALTAMONT — St. Joseph (6-7, 0-1 Region 16) dropped its region-opening game at Altamont. No stats were provided.

LAYTON CHRISTIAN 106, UTAH MILITARY 34

RIVERDALE — Layton Christian (7-6, 1-0 Region 16) soundly defeated Utah Military (1-8, 0-1) to open Region 16 play.

DAVIS 53, WEBER 26

PLEASANT VIEW — Davis held Weber to two first-quarter points on the way to a region road win.

Annie Pitcher scored a game-high 11 points to lead Davis (8-5, 2-1 Region 1). Regan Hansen added five points, four rebounds and four assists for the Darts.

Sarah Pollard had eight points, two assists and two steals for Weber (9-3, 2-1). Lexy Shaw led the Warriors on the glass with five rebounds.

FREMONT 66, NORTHRIDGE 33

LAYTON — Fremont took a 22-8 lead after the first quarter and held Northridge to 10 points combined across the second and third quarters.

Emma Calvert scored 19 to pace Fremont (11-1, 4-0 Region 1). Haylee Doxey netted 15 points and Halle Duft added 11.

Michaela Harris and Taylor Morris each scored nine points for the Knights (4-9, 0-4).

BONNEVILLE 49, STANSBURY 44

STANSBURY PARK — Jenna Czarnecki scored 18 points to lead Bonneville to a region road win at Stansbury.

Karly Conolly added 17 with three 3-pointers for the Lakers (8-4, 2-0 Region 11).

Mea Thurber led all scorers with 19 points on five treys for Stansbury (4-8, 1-1).

SYRACUSE 57, CLEARFIELD 33

SYRACUSE — Clearfield led 24-18 at the half but Syracuse rolled the Falcons 39-9 after the break for a region win.

Rachel Godfrey and Baylee Sanders each scored 12 points for Syracuse (9-3, 2-1 Region 1), with Godfrey pulling down 17 rebounds.

Taevey Davis and Kiersten Boyack each scored 10 points for Clearfield (4-9, 0-4).

COPPER HILLS 71, BOX ELDER 59

BRIGHAM CITY — Morgan Reeder led Box Elder (7-5) with 19 points and Emily Isaacson added 14 in a home loss to Copper Hills.

ALTAMONT 42, ST. JOSEPH 33

ALTAMONT — St. Joseph led 24-16 at the half and 27-26 going into the fourth quarter only to be outscored 16-6 in the final frame in its region opener at Altamont.

Virginia Tomon led St. Joseph (7-5, 0-1 Region 16) with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Camryn Ingram added 13 points with three 3-pointers.

MORGAN 43, SUMMIT ACADEMY 39

MORGAN — Morgan won its region opener over Summit Academy.

Ashlyn Morrell led Morgan (6-8, 1-0 Region 13) with 12 points and 14 rebounds.

AMERICAN FORK 65, VIEWMONT 47

AMERICAN FORK — Viewmont trailed 31-17 at the half in a road game at American Fork.

Karlia Gunnell led Viewmont (3-8) with 16 points and Emma Carr added 12.
