PLAIN CITY — Fremont girls basketball kept Alta off the scoreboard until 3:51 left in the second quarter as the Silver Wolves remained unbeaten with a 65-18 victory Tuesday.

At the 3:51 mark, Fremont led 21-0 after holding a 17-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The lead was 30-4 at halftime and 51-17 after three quarters as Fremont went 18 of 22 from the free-throw line.

Emma Calvert led all scorers with 19 points for Fremont while Timea Gardiner scored 12 and Haylee Doxey added 11.

The Silver Wolves go to Bingham on Thursday in a rematch of February’s 6A state title game which Fremont won 61-47.

NORTHRIDGE 42, DIXIE 41

SALT LAKE CITY — Northridge led Dixie 19-16 at the half and held on to win a tight game played at Vivint Arena.

Jalyne Stott paced the Knights wint a game-high 19 points, three assists and two steals. Kaitlin Clark added eight points.

CLEARFIELD 51, TAYLORSVILLE 42

CLEARFIELD — Clearfield led 32-31 after three quarters, then outscored Taylorsville 19-11 in the final frame to secure a home win.

Taevey Davis led Clearfield with 18 points and two 3-pointers. Kiersten Boyack added 14 points and one trey.

DAVIS 43, CYPRUS 31

KAYSVILLE — Davis led 24-14 at the half in a home win over Cyprus.

Callie Tolman led the Darts with 12 points.

FARMINGTON 67, HILLCREST 41

MIDVALE — Farmington ran out to a 24-9 lead in the first quarter in a win at Hillcrest.

Valerie Kunzler scored 18 points and Naomi Kehl netted 16 for the Phoenix.

BONNEVILLE 55, BOUNTIFUL 39

BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful led 10-9 after the first frame but Bonneville outscored the Braves 46-29 the rest of the way.

Jenna Czarnecki led the Lakers with 16 points. Ashley Croyle added 13.

Samantha Salmon scored a game-high 22 points for Bountiful.

RIVERTON 52, WEBER 25

RIVERTON — Weber trailed 15-2 after the first quarter in a lopsided loss at Riverton.

Sarah Pollard scored nine points and Paige Aardema added eight for the Warriors.

Kaitlin Burgess scored a game-high 16 points for Riverton.

BEAR RIVER 73, BEN LOMOND 19

GARLAND — Bear River ran out to a 21-2 lead after the first quarter in a big win over Ben Lomond.

Abbie Fuhriman led the Bears with 12 points. Cailee Sidwell scored 11 and McKenzie Bywater added 10 points for the Bears.

LaDeitra Hobson led Ben Lomond with 12 points.

MOUNTAIN CREST 46, OGDEN 34

HYRUM — Ogden took a 22-17 lead into halftime at Mountain Crest but were outscored 20-3 in a decisive third quarter.

Makin Clarke led the Tigers with 10 points. Brynn Soelberg and Sydney Maw added six points apiece for Ogden.

RIDGELINE 60, MORGAN 35

MILLVILLE — Morgan trailed 21-15 after one quarter at Ridgeline, then the RiverHawks outscored the Trojans 29-12 over the second and third quarters. No stats were reported.

COPPER HILLS 73, VIEWMONT 28

WEST JORDAN — Viewmont trailed 45-18 at the half on the way to a lopsided road loss at Copper Hills. No stats were reported.

BOYS BASKETBALL

SYRACUSE 61, VIEWMONT 45

BOUNTIFUL — Syracuse turned a close game into a big win by outscoring Viewmont 17-8 in the fourth quarter.

Dylan Hawkes and Kobe Rusch led Syracuse with 13 points, four rebounds and four assists apiece. Blake Soifua totaled nine points, eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks.

Gavin Chowen led Viewmont with 15 points, Parker Kearns scored 13 and Dallin May scored 12. Chowen grabbed 12 rebounds.

Syracuse shot 8 of 16 from the 3-point line while Viewmont was 3 of 22. FARMINGTON 74, WASATCH 69

FARMINGTON — Farmington broke a 32-32 halftime tie with a 25-17 third quarter, then held off a Wasatch rally for a home win.

Cade Grant’s 22 points led the Phoenix, which came on six 3-pointers. Max Walton had 14, Kendall Draxler netted 13, and Jack Davis and McKay Thomsen each scored 10 points.

Will Harris led all scorers with 30 points for Wasatch.

FREMONT 66, RIVERTON 55

PLAIN CITY — Fremont took control to beat Riverton with a 22-11 advantage in the second quarter.

Tige Voorhees scored a game-high 24 points on six 3-pointers to lead Fremont. Kip Calder added 14 on four treys, while Baylor Harrop and Dallin Hall each scored 10 for the Silver Wolves.

WOODS CROSS 54, CLEARFIELD 39

WOODS CROSS — Clearfield led 25-17 at the half, then Woods Cross took the lead for good with a 18-4 third quarter.

Jake Howe led Woods Cross with 13 points and Brant Jerman added 11.

Connor Izatt poured in a game-high 20 to lead Clearfield.

COPPER HILLS 78, LAYTON 67

LAYTON — Layton led 22-17 after the first quarter but was held to 21 points across the second and third quarters to fall behind Copper Hills 59-43 going into the final frame.

Tanner Kofoed led Layton with 25 points while Jacob Randall added 17.

BINGHAM 88, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 57

LAYTON — Layton Christian fell behind 37-18 at the half in a home loss to Bingham. No stats were reported.
