KAYSVILLE — Davis baseball scored the game’s only runs in the second inning to beat Northridge 2-0 on Friday and clinch at least a share of the Region 1 championship.
Parker Jensen had three hits and scored one run for Davis (16-9, 13-5 Region 1). Adam Hackmeister hit 2 for 3 and drove in one. Jake Wendt earned the win in five innings of work.
Jacob Rhoades batted 2 for 3 with a double to pace Northridge (3-18, 3-12).
The Darts will clinch the region title outright, plus the No. 1 seed, if Fremont loses at least once in its final three games.
BEAR RIVER 11, GREEN CANYON 3
NORTH LOGAN — Bear River scored five runs in the top of the third to take control and complete the series sweep over Green Canyon and clinch a share of the Region 12 championship.
Carson Day batted 3 for 3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Bears (18-7, 11-4 Region 12). Braxton Jeppsen hit 3 for 4 with a double and an RBI. Tyler Hinkle earned the win, striking out five over six innings.
The Bears, who have won 10 straight games, will be the No. 2 seed from Region 12 in the 4A state playoffs, as Mountain Crest owns the head-to-head tiebreaker.
SYRACUSE 15, WEBER 4
PLEASANT VIEW — Syracuse jumped to a 7-0 lead before Weber batted.
Logan Poe and Hunter Wilder each hit home runs for Syracuse (12-9, 9-6 Region 1). Poe drove in five and Wilder had four RBIs. Jaxson Christiansen pitched a five-inning complete game for the win.
Josh Howell hit an RBI triple for Weber (8-14, 3-12).
VIEWMONT 6, BOUNTIFUL 2
BOUNTIFUL — Viewmont slowly tallied runs throughout to beat Bountiful and take over first place in Region 5.
Brash Emery and Jaxon Uffens each doubled for Viewmont (8-13, 8-4 Region 5), with Emery driving in two. Noah Montoya earned the win in relief.
Anthony Wuthrich batted 2 for 3 for Bountiful (10-10, 5-7) with a double and an RBI.
ROY 11, FARMINGTON 8 (8)
FARMINGTON — After Farmington scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh, Cade Harris hit an inside-the-park home run to drive in Matt Porm and Chris Porm in the top of the eight and push Roy past Farmington.
Jaxson Dart and Sean Walker each hit two doubles and drove in one for Roy (14-8, 7-5 Region 5). Teyo Gil pitched two relief innings for the win.
Sam Graves batted 4 for 5 with a double for Farmington (9-13, 7-5). Dylan Jeppson hit two doubles and drove in two.
LAYTON 10, CLEARFIELD 3
LAYTON — Layton plated four runners in the sixth to put Clearfield (10-11, 8-7) away.
Carter Robinson hit a two-run home run for Layton (11-11, 8-7 Region 1). Ethan Walker went 3 for 4 with a double and Cameron Day got the win.
The result pushed Layton into fourth place in the region standings.
BOX ELDER 8, WOODS CROSS 4
WOODS CROSS — Box Elder scored four runs in each of the first and fourth innings to beat Woods Cross in a game postponed by weather Tuesday and completed Friday.
Nate Wheatley hit an RBI triple for Box Elder (5-16, 2-9 Region 5). Logan Holgate picked up the win.
Carter Weierman batted 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored for Woods Cross (10-11, 6-5).
WOODS CROSS 13, BOX ELDER 4
WOODS CROSS — In the second game, Woods Cross jumped out to a 7-2 lead after two innings.
Karson Bodily hit 3 for 4 with a triple, three RBIs and three runs scored for Woods Cross (11-11, 7-5). Brock Simmons was the winning pitcher.
Ryan Greer paced Box Elder (5-17, 2-10), batting 3 for 3 with a home run and three RBIs.
PARK CITY 11, OGDEN 1
OGDEN — Ogden fell behind 8-0 in the second inning in a loss to Park City. Connor Howard hit 2 for 2 with a double for the Tigers (4-17, 3-14 Region 11). Payton Boney scored a run.

OGDEN — Ben Lomond (1-19, 0-17 Region 11) was no-hit in a five-inning loss to Juan Diego.
BEAR RIVER 13, SKY VIEW 0
GARLAND — Bear River clinched the outright Region 12 title with a shutout of Sky View.
Olivia Taylor led Bear River (17-10, 9-0 Region 12) with a home run and a triple. The Bears hit five doubles on the day.
CLEARFIELD 3, SYRACUSE 0
SYRACUSE — Clearfield took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first and won wire-to-wire at Syracuse.
Miranda Mansfield tripled and scored for Clearfield (13-8, 5-6 Region 1). Rachael Brown doubled. Jayci Finch drove in Mansfield, and recorded the win and 11 strikeouts in a complete game.
Abby Reed and Rachel Godfrey tallied the only two Syracuse (6-11, 3-7) hits.
BOX ELDER 14, ENTERPRISE 12
ENTERPRISE — Box Elder trailed 10-5 after four innings but rebounded for a win at Enterprise.
Box Elder (10-16) hit three home runs and five Bees had three hits apiece. Malory Merrill had five RBIs and Makena Earley drove in three.
HILLCREST 16, BEN LOMOND 1
MIDVALE — Ben Lomond was no-hit but scored in the third inning in a loss at Hillcrest. Hadlee Green scored for the Scots (2-16).
BONNEVILLE 14, JUAN DIEGO 0
WASHINGTON TERRACE — Lexie Sulkey pitched a four-inning shutout as Bonneville beat Juan Diego.
Izzy Togisala batted 2 for 4 with a home run and four RBIs to lead Bonneville (11-10, 9-2 Region 11). Ashley Croyle added a solo home run.

ROY — Roy took a 1-0 lead after the first inning only to see Corner Canyon plate seven in the top of the second in a non-region game.
Olivia Bruch hit a three-run home run and Saige Nielsen hit a solo shot to account for all the Roy (11-12) runs.
