PLAIN CITY — Fremont High baseball plated three runs in the third inning en route to a 9-2 region win over Weber on Tuesday evening.

Jadynn Juskins batted 3 for 3 with two RBIs for Fremont (15-8, 11-5 Region 1). Jaxon Larkin drove in two and Drake Grange hit a triple. Jack Arevalo picked up the win with four strikeouts in five innings.

Dyllan Jimenez and Caden Oborn had Weber’s (8-15, 3-13) two hits, with Jimenez driving in one.

The game was moved to Fremont due to field conditions in Pleasant View.

ROY 11, BOX ELDER 1

BRIGHAM CITY — Roy scored four runs in the fourth inning to take control in a region win over Box Elder.

Chris Porm batted 3 for 4 with three RBIs for Roy (15-8, 8-5 Region 5). Jaxson Dart and Porter Thackeray each bashed solo home runs.

Nate Wheatley and Ryan Greer accounted for the two Box Elder (5-18, 2-11) hits. The Bees scored on a wild pitch.

MORGAN SPLITS TWO

LOGAN — Morgan split two games Monday. Dexter Gilson hit a triple for one of three Trojans hits in a 12-2 loss to Ridgeline, and Alex Harding batted 3 for 4 with a double and five RBIs in a 7-3 win over Logan.

The Trojans (12-15) next face Juab at 11 a.m. Thursday in the 3A state tournament one-loss bracket.

BRIGHAM CITY — Box Elder’s two fifth-inning runs were the difference to beat Bountiful.

Kallie Bair hit a triple and current Standard Star Jostlen Leggett hit an RBI single. Box Elder (11-15, 8-6 Region 5) managed just two hits and scored two runs on errors.

Shambre Maestas hit 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for Bountiful (17-6, 12-2). Alyssa Bowles added a double.

BEAR RIVER 5, FREMONT 3

GARLAND — Kodi Gibbs hit an RBI double and Josie Larkin drove in two for Bear River (18-10) in a non-region win over Fremont on Monday. Kinley Toone earned the win.

Cortney Rhees batted 3 for 4 with two RBIs for Fremont (15-6).

BONNEVILLE 8, NORTHRIDGE 6

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Bonneville scored seven runs in the sixth inning to beat Northridge on Monday.

Ashley Croyle batted 2 for 4 with an RBI for Bonneville (15-10). Lexie Sulkey added a double and earned the win.

Makenna Kap hit a three-run home run and a solo shot for Northridge (7-15). Keziah Stutzman added a solo home run.

HERRIMAN 8, BOUNTIFUL 3

HERRIMAN — In a non-region loss for Bountiful (17-6) on Monday, Livi Arona hit a double and scored a run.

PLEASANT VIEW — Josh Maughan netted a hat trick in the first half to lead Weber (9-5, 7-4 Region 1) to a region win over Layton.

Luke Johnson assisted on two of Maughan’s scores and Colby Lee assisted the other.

Edger Galvez tallied a 65th minute score for Layton (12-2-1, 9-2).

ROY 2, VIEWMONT 1

ROY — Cody Moore’s second-half goal gave Roy (8-6-1, 4-4-1 Region 5) a 1-0 lead, then Coleman Hansen later netted a game-winner to hand Viewmont its first region loss.

Kymble Johnson netted an equalizer for Viewmont (9-1-4, 6-1-2).

The Royals currently sit in a four-way tie for second place with Box Elder, Farmington and Woods Cross with one game to play.

BOX ELDER 3, BOUNTIFUL 1

BOUNTIFUL — Matt Bowden, Jaden Getts and Bryce Shimazaki netted for Box Elder (7-6-2, 4-4-1 Region 5) in a region win.

Wyatt Arbuckle scored for Bountiful (3-9-2, 2-7), which has been eliminated from playoff contention.

SYRACUSE 2, NORTHRIDGE 2 (2OT)

SYRACUSE — Northridge (4-10-1, 3-7-1 Region 1) got two penalty kicks in the final four minutes of regulation from Britton Morrell to forge a draw.

Bennett Carlson and Ethan Harris netted for Syracuse (3-11-2, 0-10-1).

FARMINGTON 1, WOODS CROSS 0 (2OT)

FARMINGTON — Ike Beckman scored on a set piece in the second period of extra time to lift Farmington (4-7-2, 4-4-1 Region 5) to a region win over Woods Cross (6-8-4, 4-4-1). Zach Bingham earned the shutout.
