MILLVILLE — Dallin Hall scored 20 points and Baylor Harrop scored 19 to lead Fremont boys basketball to a 68-49 road win at Ridgeline on Tuesday.

Harrop scored 10 points in the first quarter as the Silver Wolves jumped out to a 23-6 lead.

FARMINGTON 60, SYRACUSE 57

SYRACUSE — Farmington fell behind 13-7 at Syracuse after the first quarter, but fought back to claim a road win, the first win ever for the boys basketball team as it starts its first season of competition.

Kendall Draxler and Jack Davis shared game-high scoring honors with 15 points apiece for the Phoenix.

Blake Soifua and Keaton Seaich each scored 14 points to lead Syracuse. Dylan Hawkes added 13.

CLEARFIELD 60, HILLCREST 50

CLEARFIELD — Clearfield took a 35-19 halftime lead and cruised to a win over Hillcrest .

Connor Izatt netted a game-high 16 points for Clearfield while Kaden Swanson scored 13. Riley Clearley added 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Falcons.

LONE PEAK 97, LAYTON 85

HIGHLAND — Layton fell on the road at defending 6A state champion Lone Peak in a shootout.

Tanner Kofoed led the Lancers with 25 points while both Jacob Randall and Ethan Potter added 18. Collin Jeppson scored 12.

Lone Peak made 13 3-pointers.

VIEWMONT 64, HIGHLAND 59

SALT LAKE CITY — Viewmont outscored Highland 21-14 in the fourth quarter to claim a road win Tuesday.

Parker Kearns led the Vikings with a game-high 23 points. Brash Emery scored 12 points, while Dallin May added seven points and nine rebounds in the win.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

WEBER 47, ROY 34

ROY — Weber outscored Roy 17-5 in the fourth quarter as the Warriors beat the Royals by 13 at Roy.

Weber’s Lexy Shaw scored all seven of her points in the fourth quarter with a 3-pointer and a 4-for-4 mark at the free throw line.

Roy’s Saige Nielsen led all scorers with 14 points as the Royals turned an 8-point halftime deficit into one by the end of the third quarter. Sophie Scholer added nine points for Roy and Sarah Pollard led Weber with 12.

CLEARFIELD 62, KEARNS 24

KEARNS — Clearfield limited Kearns to two points in each of the first and fourth quarters in the big road win.

Kiersten Boyack paced the Falcons with 16 points, four rebounds and four steals while Emily Soto scored 10 points. Madee Johnson tallied nine rebounds, Brooke Watson hauled in seven boards and Madison Fox added six for Clearfield.

LAYTON 33, PLEASANT GROVE 31

LAYTON — Layton took a 20-10 halftime lead, then held off Pleasant Grove’s second-half surge to pick up a home win.

Abbey Nelson scored 10 points for the Lancers, including all eight of Layton’s first-quarter points. Meg Edwards added six points.

GRANGER 44, BEN LOMOND 22

WEST VALLEY CITY — Ben Lomond trailed 37-12 going into the fourth quarter in a road loss at Granger.

Jasmine Forte scored nine points for Ben Lomond.

BOUNTIFUL 47, DAVIS 45

KAYSVILLE — Bountiful took a 20-18 halftime lead at Davis and made the margin hold up for a road win.

Brooklyn Taylor and Bailey Jenkins each scored 11 points for Bountiful while Samantha Salmon added 10.

Hannah Loveland led all scorers with 15 points for Davis .

SYRACUSE 51, OGDEN 22

OGDEN — Syracuse is off to a 2-0 start to the season after breezing by Ogden. Baylee Sanders led the Titans with 12 points while both Ashley Agren and Rainee Schenck scored eight.

Brynn Soelberg led the Tigers with five points; Gracie Fergus and Makin Clarke each had four.

Syracuse ended the game by outscoring Ogden 20-6 in the fourth quarter.

SPANISH FORK 56, FARMINGTON 49

FARMINGTON — Farmington was outscored 14-5 by Spanish Fork in the third quarter, which ultimately proved to be the decisive frame.

Valerie Kunzler led the Phoenix with 16 points, Natalya Taylor scored 12 and Brooklyn Perkins added nine.

BOX ELDER 66, JUDGE MEMORIAL 54

SALT LAKE CITY — A big first quarter and third quarter paved the way for Box Elder’s 12-point win at Judge Memorial.

BE outscored the Bulldogs 16-6 in the first quarter and 21-13 in the third.

Morgan Reeder and Emily Isaacson both led the Bees with 18 points.

GRANTSVILLE 58, BEAR RIVER 48

GARLAND — Grantsville slowly built a lead over the first three quarters as the Cowgirls handed Bear River a home loss.

McKenzie Bywater led the Bears with 20 points, Cailee Sidwell scored nin and Abbie Fuhriam added seven.

WOODS CROSS 53, JORDAN 27

SANDY — Woods Cross raced out to a 29-13 halftime lead and cruised over Jordan.

Taylor Jackson led the Wildcats with 14 points, Riley Aiono scored 11 and both Katie Longmore and Macy Richards had nine. WX’s defense didn’t allow more than 10 points in a single quarter.

SAN JUAN 72, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 25

LAYTON — Layton Christian fell behind San Juan 20-3 after one quarter and couldn’t closer on the way to a season-opening loss.

Danyale Thomas led LCA with 16 points on three 3-pointers.
