BRIGHAM CITY — Sophomore pinch hitter Nic Migliori blasted a walk-off, three-run home run to lift Box Elder baseball to a 4-1 region win over Bountiful on Wednesday.

Levi Griffin hit a double and Conner Stevenson added an RBI single for the Bees (4-10, 1-3 Region 5). Ryan Gunn picked up the win in one inning of relief work for starting pitcher Logan Holgate.

Mason Farr had a single and scored Bountiful’s (5-4, 0-1 Region 5) lone run.

CLEARFIELD 3, DAVIS 0

CLEARFIELD — Clearfield scored two runs in the second inning and one in the third in a shutout win over Davis in a battle between Region 1’s first and second place teams.

Taylor Sato batted 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI for Clearfield (8-6, 6-2 Region 1). Ethan Giacalone added an RBI triple. Bryson Hirabayashi struck out 12 in the win.

Jake Wendt picked up two of the three Davis (10-6, 7-2 Region 1) hits.

FREMONT 11, SYRACUSE 9

PLAIN CITY — Syracuse led 4-1 after four innings only to see Fremont take control with six runs in the fifth and four in the sixth.

Taylor Ellis led Fremont (10-6, 6-3 Region 1), batting 4 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs, and earning the win in relief. Jaxon Larkin drove in three on two hits and Jack Arevalo drove in two on a double and a single.

Cooper Bearnson batted 2 for 3 with a double for Syracuse (6-7, 3-4). Mark Amparan hit a double and Jackson Hall drove in two.

The game was scheduled as the first in a doubleheader but no stats were available for the nightcap.

LAYTON 6, WEBER 5

LAYTON — Layton took a 6-1 lead after four innings and held off a late Weber charge for a region win.

Carter Robinson hit an RBI double for the Lancers (5-8, 2-4 Region 1). Jackson Hoffman and Tanner Kofoed each drove in one. Carson Shaffer picked up the win with Micah Del Rio notching a save.

Nic Erickson batted 2 for 3 with a double and three RBIs for Weber (6-7, 1-5). Braedon Roylance hit 2 for 3 with an RBI while Josh Howell and Dylan Jimenez each doubled.

FARMINGTON 9, WOODS CROSS 6

FARMINGTON — In the first game of a doubleheader, Farmington took an 8-6 lead with three runs in the fourth inning and held on to beat Woods Cross (5-7, 1-1 Region 5) in a back-and-forth contest.

Dylan Jeppson hit a home run, Brandon Young drove in two runs and went 2 for 2 with a double. JP Mortensen batted 3 for 3 with a walk for the Phoenix (6-6, 4-0). Andrew Quinton pitched 3 ⅔ scoreless innings in relief.

Karson Bodily hit a double and drove in two runs for Woods Cross. Carter Weierman walked three times and drove in a run.

The second game was suspended after four innings due to darkness with Woods Cross leading 7-4. The game will be completed Friday prior to a scheduled game at Woods Cross.

MORGAN 15, SOUTH SUMMIT 6

MORGAN — Morgan trailed 3-2 after three innings but scored 12 runs across the next three frames in a region win over South Summit.

Trevor Jarrett batted 3 for 4 with a triple, a double and four RBIs for the Trojans (6-9, 2-4 Region 13). Chase Stuart and Colton Hatt each had two hits, with Hatt doubling and driving in two while picking up the win on the mound. Dexter Gilson added a two-run double.

TAYLORSVILLE 9, CLEARFIELD 2

CLEARFIELD — Clearfield fell behind Taylorsville 4-0 before the Falcons batted in a home loss.

Sadie Christiansen, Miranda Mansfield and Kaycee Valencia each had two hits for Clearfield (5-5). Christiansen and Macy Benincosa drove in the Falcon runs.

MORGAN 12, GREEN CANYON 1

MORGAN — Morgan plated five runners in the second inning to take control and scored four in the sixth to end the game via run rule.

Ashley Fisher paced the Trojans (11-5), batting 3 for 4 with two RBIs and one run scored. Kassidy Mikesell blasted a two-run home run and Mackenzie Logsdon hit 2 for 3 with a double.

WOODS CROSS 5, ROY 2

WOODS CROSS — Woods Cross scored three runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 3-2 lead in a region win over Roy.

Elizabeth Busdicker and Sadie Bevan each hit 3 for 3 for Woods Cross (7-8, 5-2 Region 5). Julana Te'o batted 2 for 4 with two RBIs and Alison Ebberts added a two-run double. Jade Valdez pitched a complete game in the win.

Jakell Eddy hit 2 for 4 for Roy (5-8, 2-5). Ana Palmer hit an RBI double.

BOUNTIFUL 9, PLEASANT GROVE 4

BOUNTIFUL — Bountiful broke a 4-4 tie with five runs in the sixth inning to beat Pleasant Grove.

Livi Arona paced the Braves (9-3) at the plate, batting 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs. Libbie Hawker hit an RBI double and Shiloh Pease drove in two. Annie Salazar pitched 4 ⅔ innings for the win.

NORTHRIDGE 15, OGDEN 0

LAYTON — Northridge led 6-0 after three innings and scored nine runs in the fourth inning to trigger the run rule.

Makenna Kap and Keziah Stutzman each had two hits for Northridge (5-7), with Kap doubling and driving in three. Stutzman picked up the in, striking out five.

Ogden (2-9) was held to three hits on the day.

BONNEVILLE 8, STANSBURY 6

WASHINGTON TERRACE — Bonneville scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and held off a seventh-inning Stansbury rally to secure a vital region win.

The Lakers (7-7, 5-0 Region 11) got two home runs from Macyn Hartman, and one each from Ashley Croyle and Bree Pedersen. Hartman drove in four runs, Pedersen drove in two and Croyle went 3 for 3 with one RBI.

Lexie Sulkey was the winning pitcher.

GRANTSVILLE 7, BEAR RIVER 1

GRANTSVILLE — Bear River (6-8) gave up four home runs in a loss at Grantsville.

SYRACUSE — Ben Pobanz found the back of the net on a Luke Johnson/Josh Maughan double assist in the 96th minute to lift Weber (7-2, 5-1 Region 1) to a region win at Syracuse (3-7-1, 0-6).

Charlie Wheelwright and Joe Holbrook shared the Warrior shutout. The result puts Weber in a three-way tie with Davis and Layton for Region 1’s top spot.

OGDEN 3, JUAN DIEGO 0

OGDEN — Ogden scored three goals after halftime to beat Juan Diego and maintain a hold on first place in Region 11.

Daniel Wilson, Eric Estrada and Gram Burkdoll each netted for the Tigers (6-2-2, 6-1-2 Region 11). Anthony Ramirez earned the shutout and JJ Muniz tallied two assists.

BEN LOMOND 3, STANSBURY 1

STANSBURY PARK — Alfredo Barrandey scored two second-half goals to break a 1-1 tie and send Ben Lomond to a region win over Stansbury (7-7-1, 5-4-1 Region 11).

Erik Arroyo netted in the first half for the Scots (7-4, 6-2 Region 11). The outcome gives Ben Lomond 18 points and vaults the Scots past Stansbury into the region’s second slot.

ROY 3, FARMINGTON 2 (2OT)

ROY — Cody Moore netted a golden goal in the second stanza of extra time to send Roy to a region win over Farmington.

Coleman Hansen and Deontae Ben also scored for the Royals (5-4, 1-2 Region 5)

Goal scorers were not reported for Farmington (1-5-1, 1-2), who led 2-1 at the half.

ST. JOSEPH 8, WENDOVER 0

OGDEN — St. Joseph took a 6-0 lead into halftime in a region win over Wendover.

Gavin Andersen earned the clean sheet for the Jayhawks (8-2-1, 6-1-1 Region 16). Daniel Hooslyn and Gianni Galicia each netted twice, while Kevin Rvera, Gil Ramirez, Matt Rivera and AJ Juarez scored one goal apiece.

BEAR RIVER 1, RIDGELINE 1 (2OT)

GARLAND — Garrett Goring scored the equalizer in the 76th minute off a Ramon Windmiller assist to lift Bear River (4-7-1, 0-6-1 Region 12) to a draw with Ridgeline.
