A flurry of venue changes couldn’t prevent the state softball tournament from succumbing to Utah’s second-wettest spring on record.

In 5A, the Roy-West and Farmington-Bountiful quarterfinals were postponed Tuesday.

Both games are now scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Valley Regional Park in Taylorsville. According to UHSAA brackets online, losers of those games are scheduled to play again at 1:15 p.m. in one-loss games, while the winners would face off in the semifinals at 3:30 p.m.

The one-loss semifinal and championship round are scheduled for Thursday, May 30.

The 6A tournament has been moved to Salt Lake Community College.

Layton High’s one-loss bracket game against Bingham is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at SLCC after being postponed Tuesday morning as well.

Game times and locations are still subject to adverse weather and field conditions.
