While some state baseball and softball games got underway Tuesday, no games finished and several didn’t begin due to rain. Games are scheduled to play Wednesday, depending on weather and field conditions.

BASEBALL

Fremont’s 6A one-loss bracket game against Bingham at Utah Valley University was suspended in the top of the first inning due to weather. The Silverwolves were batting with two outs, leading 2-0, with runners on second and third. The game is scheduled to resume at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Syracuse’s 6A semifinal game against Pleasant Grove, originally scheduled for Wednesday, has been rescheduled for 4:30 p.m. Thursday at UVU.

SOFTBALL

All 5A/6A softball state tournament action at Valley Regional Park in Taylorsville was rained out, with early games suspended.

GAMES IN PROGRESS

Fremont vs. Clearfield: suspended with Fremont leading 8-4 in the top of the fourth inning; scheduled to resume at 11 a.m.

Box Elder vs. Skyridge: suspended with Skyridge leading 5-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning; scheduled to resume at 11 a.m.

RESCHEDULED

Game times Wednesday will be as follows if weather/field conditions permit:

Davis vs. Pleasant Grove: 1:15 p.m.

Farmington vs. Bountiful: 3:30 p.m

Layton vs. Copper Hills: 3:30 p.m.

Roy vs. West: 5:45 p.m.
