An Offerman Collado two-run single dealt the Ogden Raptors a 4-2 loss at Idaho Falls on Monday in the team's final regular-season series before the playoffs begin later this week.
Collado's hit in the sixth inning gave the Chukars the decisive 4-2 lead after both teams scored two runs in the second.
Ogden outfielder Niko Hulsizer gave the Raptors a 2-0 lead with a two-run home run, his eighth of the season. Idaho Falls tied the game 2-2 in the bottom half of the inning with an RBI double and an RBI single.
Numerous transactions for playoff series
Many of the key players who fueled Ogden's first-half championship have been promoted to Single-A Great Lakes, where they helped turn around the last-place Loons into a playoff team.
Now, reinforcements are arriving as the Raptors prepare for their own playoff push. Five players were called up Sunday from the Arizona League Dodgers, who won the AZL West division by nine games.
The call-ups include pitcher Elio Serrano, pitcher Jose Martinez, outfielder Aldrich De Jongh, outfielder Jeremiah Vison and shortstop Leonel Varela. Meanwhile, Raptors outfielder Matt Cogen was called up to Great Lakes on Sunday as well.
