Weber State cheerleading 2019 national championship spirit squad

The Weber State Spirit Squad won its third straight national championship and Weber State's mascot, Waldo, repeated with the National Mascot title at the 2019 NCA and NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships over the weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Friday, the Wildcat cheer team won the Division I Coed Cheer national title for the third straight year. It's the fifth title in the last eight years for the Wildcats.

Saturday, Waldo repeated as winner of the National Mascot Championship. It's the third national title in the last five years for Waldo, who defeated mascots from Missouri, North Texas, Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Georgia Tech and North Carolina, among others.

WSU cheer partners Mekenzie Grabau and Kollin Cockrell also claimed the Coed Partner national title at the competition.
