Nathan Dunivan was Weber State’s final of three athletes to compete at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas.

Dunivan saved the best discus throw of his career for last, besting his own school record by 7 inches in throwing 189 feet, 5 inches on Friday night.

Dunivan finished 10th out of 24 throwers, earning second team All-American status.

Texas Tech’s Eric Kicinski won the event at 205 feet, 2 inches.

Senior hurdler and Fremont High alum Tawnie Moore earned second team All-American status Thursday by running a Big Sky record 13.03 seconds in the 100 meter hurdle semifinals.

Dunivan’s performance officially ends the 2018-19 athletic season for Weber State.
