Patricia Watkins
In celebration of her 80th birthday Patricia Watkins shared a beautiful day with her family.
Patricia was born May 8, 1934 in Salt Lake City Utah to Frank and Carmen Hancock. During her childhood she grew up in Salt Lake City and Ogden, Utah.
She graduated from Ogden High School where she met the love of her life, Vernal M. Watkins. They were married on June 9, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Together they raised four children, Michael (Nancy) Watkins, Gilbert, Arizona; Susan (Kim) Checketts, Bear River City, Utah; David (Pat) Watkins, Plain City, Utah and Maureen (Michael) Johnson, Longmont, Colorado.
Along with raising her children she has been employed by the Montgomery Wards, Citizen National Bank, The Bank Of Utah and Weber State University. Mom has always been active in the LDS church where she has held many callings.
In October 1990 and for 13 years, Mom and Dad moved to Leeds, Utah where they built a new home and created many fun and lasting memories. The love they shared and showed for one another was truly a shining example to their family.
Patricia enjoys quilting, oil painting, reading and working in her beautiful yard. Mostly Mom loves spending time with her family. She has 18 grandchildren and 40 great- grandchildren.
