Alissa Megan Van Doornik and Cory Owen Hamblin were united in marriage on Saturday, January 10, 2015. The wedding and reception were held in their honor at The Rising Church in Draper.

The bride is the daughter of Eileen and Steven Van Doornik of Holland, Michigan. Parents of the bridegroom are Colette and Keith Hamblin of Layton.

The bride chose her sister Tina Van Doornik as her maid of honor, and Ann Kinney and Jessica Johnson as her bridesmaids. Justin Pedersen performed the duties of the best man, with Dustin Hamblin and Chase Greenwood as the groomsmen. Rain Boswell was the flower girl and Harvey Hamblin was the ring bearer. The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Jason Epps.

Allie graduated from Holland Christian Academy in Michigan, earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami, and her master’s degree from the University of Utah. She is a first grade teacher at Western Hills Elementary in Kearns. Cory graduated from Davis High School in Kaysville and earned a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in Logan. He works for the United States Postal Service in Salt Lake City.

The new couple will make their home in Bountiful.
