Steven LaMar King

Together Again

Steve was born September 8, 1950, to LaMar Youngberg King and Betty Lou Jean Horspool. He died August 15, 2021 and passed away after a long illness at the age of 70.

Steve married Dawn Rees and was blessed with three children, Troy, Nicole, and Travis. They later divorced.

On December 28, 1984, he married the love of his life, Becky Bodily and welcomed Lorie and Terry into the family. On December 28, 2018, he was sealed to Becky in the Ogden LDS Temple.

Steve graduated from Weber High School. He then served in the US Marine Corp in Vietnam. He continued his military service in the Air Force Reserves and retired as a SMSgt. He worked the majority of his career at Hill Air Force Base as a Civilian Mechanic Supervisor.

Steve and Becky enjoyed golfing, camping, traveling, and arguing over whose football team would win.

Steve is survived by his children, Lorie (William) Maw, S. Troy (Bonnie) King, Nicole (Lynne Berry) Johnson, Travis (Linda) King, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Sandi (Chuck) Wood, Doug (Sue) King, Lori King and Joanna (Tod) Florence.

He was preceded in death by his wife Becky, his parents, son, Terry Burnett and grandson, McKenzie Johnson.

We wish to give a special thank you to all the staff from George E. Wahlen and Bristol Hospice for the amazing care they gave Steve during his stay.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and prior to the funeral services from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at Myers Mortuary, Roy.

Interment will be in Clinton City Cemetery.
